Let me ask you a question…
Have you ever seen those movies where warriors, ninjas, samurai, fought and made impressive moves with their swords?
Are you excited about the scenes and techniques the characters perform in the movies?
If so, I believe this workshop is for you.
The Korean Sword Basic Workshop is a face-to-face training where you will learn Haedong Kumdo techniques!
Perhaps you are asking yourself now, “but what is Haedong Kumdo”?
Haedong Kumdo is a Korean modern martial art that was developed in 1982.
Haedong Kumdo can mean "Way of the East Sea Sword" as well as "Way of the Sword of Korea".
Unlike other oriental schools that focus on fighting a single opponent giving him a clean blow; the traditional Korean sword, in turn, focuses on facing several opponents at the same time.
Another feature is the circular movements, in order to attack opponents who can be anywhere on the battlefield.
Haedong Kumdo epitomizes the entire Korean warrior past through battlefield combat during executions of forms with one sword and forms using two swords.
At the Workshop you will learn:
All the basic techniques of slashes, stances and sword defenses.
How to draw and store a sword.
First form (sequence of coordinated sword moves) of Haedong Kumdo.
Nomenclatures.
Basic sequence of attacks and defenses.

When and where?
The Korean Sword Workshop will take place on the 20th of XXXXXXX (Saturday), from 9 am to 1 pm.
For easy access, the venue will be at Ibirapuera Park. In the Old Sawmill near Gate 7 (photo below).
